Sunrise Aviation Co. Inc. was formed in 1992 as a company to provide Airport Operations at the Estevan Airport and expand airport usage by training pilots and encouraging them to purchase aircraft. Pilots were trained in the Recreational, Private and Commercial Categories. Sunrise was successful in expanding airport usage, increased fuel sales and providing a charter service that has lead to a Scheduled Flight that began in January of 2010. Flight training has expanded into Multi I.F.R. Training that has allowed Commercial Pilots to obtain further training at their home airport.

Sunrise Aviation Co. Inc. has decided to allow another company to take over the operation at Estevan and has moved to Carlyle where the same Flight Training and Charter Service is available to everyone in South Eastern Saskatchewan. The Cessna Cardinal and two Cessna 172’s are situated at Carlyle and Sunrise has access to the Piper Seneca at Estevan.
The airport at Carlyle has much to offer visiting pilots. Restaurants are within walking distance of the airport so everyone is welcome for Sunday Brunch or try Carlyle as a place to stop to eat and fuel up if you are passing through the area.
